The formal workshop starts with between 10 and 30 minutes of demonstration where we showcase all of the equipment that is going to be used. I find this makes the students want to learn hard in order to achieve the new skills they're being shown. The amount of time taken for the demonstration depends on the amount of time booked for the group and on the people that are about to learn. Safety is discussed throughout the demo section to try to minimize the risk of accident.
